We have made some changes to our Policy Wordings namely the removal of Section 13 – Workers Compensation.
Section 13 of our policy wordings had allowed for the inclusion of Workers Compensation where the insured property was located in Western Australia.
Insurance Australia Limited trading as CGU Workers Compensation (CGU) have decided to remove and cease the sale of domestic workers compensation from package products. The sale and distribution of domestic workers compensation will still be available as a standalone product through CGU.
Separately to this, our underwriting security provider, has aligned the policy wording with reinsurance treaties and continued its review in accordance with the Unfair Contract Term (UCT) legislation. Accordingly, we have implemented changes to the SUU products, for both New Business and Renewals following these reviews.
When is this happening?
The updated policies will be effective for all Quotes, New Business and Renewal transactions effective from 1st March 2025. You can view and download all updated documents on our Documents & Forms page here.
